This policy explains what information PaddleBrief (paddlebrief.com) collects when you visit the site, how it is used, and the choices you have. PaddleBrief is a small, independent site that publishes pickleball paddle and gear guides. We do not sell products, run user accounts, or send newsletters.
Information we collect
We do not ask you to create an account or give us personal details to read the site. Like almost every website, our web host automatically records standard server log information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the time of the request. These logs are used to keep the site running, secure, and fast, and they are not used to identify you personally.
If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to include in that message, such as your name and email address, and we use it only to reply to you.
Cookies
PaddleBrief does not use advertising cookies or analytics tracking cookies. WordPress, the software the site runs on, may set a small number of functional cookies if you log in or leave a comment. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and the site will still work for reading.
Third-party services
Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address with Google when a page loads. Google's handling of that data is covered by Google's privacy policy.
Links to other websites
Our guides link to other websites, including product pages on Amazon.com and manufacturer sites, and to official sources such as USA Pickleball. PaddleBrief is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, so Amazon links on this site include our tracking ID. When you follow those links, you leave PaddleBrief and the other site's own privacy policy applies. We are not responsible for how those sites collect or use information.
Children's privacy
PaddleBrief is written for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.
